Dear Parents and Swimmers:

It’s that time of year again to start thinking about booking your swimming lessons for the spring and summer! I am sending emails this year in order to save on paper and postage.

You are receiving three attachments from me.

1). Swimming for Life Swim School Schedule 2010 – this is the information you need to book your reservation. If you want your child in a group you will need to tell me what their swimming experience has been in the past. Remember: Groups are for ages 3 and up and only for children who are comfortable swimming on their own. Please refer to the “Programs Offered” to place them in the correct group.

2). Registration 2010 – this is what you will print out, fill out and send back to me along with your deposit. Deposit is half of the total amount due for each child registered.

3). Important Reminders – it is imperative that you read and keep these reminders so that you will have them when it is time for lessons. By sending in your Registration form and deposit you are agreeing to the policies stated in the Important Reminders.

New Clients will have to call and speak with me before your child can be scheduled. It is imperative that every client understands the program in its entirety. New clients are welcome to come and watch swim lessons in progress and speak with parents on the pool deck concerning questions you may have about me or the swim lessons.

Infants/Toddlers – This schedule has changed! We have two types of lesson plans you can choose from. Please see the Registration Form 2010 to view Plan A and Plan B. There will be no lessons on Fridays this year so I have extended the lessons to 4 weeks. If your infant is confident in the water you will probably only need the 8 lessons, but if you are brand new and or if your child is still fearful, then the 16 lessons will be best for your child. The goal is to teach the child how to roll over on their back and get air so that they can learn to save their life if they fall into a body of water. Once the child has mastered rolling over, I prefer to involve the parent and child for the remaining lessons. This approach enables the parent to reinforce the survival skills long after the lessons are completed. It is best to book Plan A for all infant/toddlers.

Siblings – Although it is not always possible, I will try to book siblings back-to-back. If you have one child in school and the other is an infant the best thing to do is bring the infant one session and the older sibling another session. Also, the sooner you send back your registration form, the better your chance of getting lessons scheduled back-to-back.

Yes, my rates have gone up from last year. I reduced my rates by 20 percent last year in order to help families deal with the slow economy. The rates reflected on the registration form are the same as they were in 2008. My rates are lower than most private swim instructors and there is No Registration Fee!!!

Once I have received your registration form and deposit, I will email you your confirmation. If you do not get a confirmation email from me please let me know. Please keep the confirmation email and mark the dates on your calendar. I will try to call and remind you of the lessons, but a phone call is not guaranteed.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone again this year!

Thank you for your support!
